UV-flame detector KLC 1000

For oil, gas and dual fuel burners for intermittent burner operations

The KLC 1000 is a compact UV flame detector, which has been developed for single flame combustion which produces little light or radiation in the visible spectrum and has very low flame modulation/flicker frequency. The design of the UV sensor ensures that the flame detector does not react to background radiation from hot refractory or from any other infra-red light source.

The flame detector is equipped with an optical interface which visibly indicates the flame signal intensity. The KLC 1000 can be connected directly to the ionisation or LDR input of the control box. It is compatible in its physical dimensions and connection capability to other series KLC flame detectors. All KLC accessories are identical and therefore this reduces the variety of components used in production and makes it simpler for field application and service.

The flame detector KLC 1000 has been developed to meet the requirements of European Standards EN230 and EN298 for burner management control units which make a ‘no-flame’ check after normal burner shut down when the flame amplifier is permanently energised.

The flame detector KLC 1001 has been developed to meet the requirements of European Standards EN230 and EN298. The internal increase of the UV tube voltage immediately after applying supply voltage ensures the safety requirement in accordance with the EN 230/298 for the examination of the UV tube to through-ignition. A simple change from ionisation flame control to the KLC 1001 is permissible therefore also with control boxes without own UV tube input.

Wide Band Flame Detector KLC 2002

For oil, and gas flames with intermittent burner operations


The wide band flame detector KLC 2002 is a compact flame detector, which is specially designed for blue burning combustion systems. The patented evaluation of the flame signal is based on the flicker frequencies of the flame. A RISC-Processor enables the evaluation and conversion of the flame signal into digital information to provide an output signal for burner control boxes. All flames will be detected by an automatic sensitivity control. Adjustments during commissioning and maintenance are not necessary!

Due to international standards the flame detector KLC 2002 will only detect signals caused by the flicker of the flame and no signal from continuous radiation and all kinds of constant frequency.

Signals caused by disturbing light sources, e.g. fluorescent tubes or background radiation from hot refractories will be cut off, so that unwanted influences are not possible. A special magnetic holder is not necessary. The flame detector is equipped with an optical interface to get online information about impulse counter, monitoring of flame signal and serial number

Viewing Angle adapter KLC

For radial viewing angle of the KLC 2002 (G)


The viewing angle adapter KLC makes the radial adjustment of all flame detectors with axial view opening and a diameter of 14 mm possible to the flame axle. Also the viewing angle adapter KLC replaces the flange of these flame detectors.

The detour of the optical flame signal is reached with an optimally formed reflector surface. The light signal is bundled on the sensor surface. Losses during the detour become balanced thereby.

A separate type of flame detector with lateral sensor opening is not necessary. Thereby reduced stock holding of different types in your parts store and lower overheads is possible.

Adapter ADP

For mounting the flame detector KLC on combustion chambers


The adapter ADP enables to install the flame detector series KLC directly at a combustion chamber. A quartz glass serves as a barrier and prevents the flow of heating gas from the combustion chamber. For the use of flame detector KLC at high ambient temperatures, a variant model of heat-insulating materials reduces the transition temperature

Diagnostic Tool KLC-Com

KLC-Com

Diagnostic tool composed of optoadapter, USB-Interface and software package reads all relevant parameters and monitors the firing via LED on the connector side of the flame controller can be used for KLC 2002 and KHM 100.

Flame Simulation Unit TG10


The flame simulation unit TG10 enables functional technical review of all flame detectors and detecting flames with a spectral sensitivity between 500 and 900 nm with an axial orientation to the flame axis and a collar diameter of 14mm.

Specifically, the TG10 for flame monitoring equipment has been developed with a constant frequency detection. The flame simulation is performed such that a light with a constantly changing frequency applied to the flame detector. To check the same frequency detection light is used with a constant frequency

Flame Detector Series ISH - ISH 100 / 24

The compact flame detector series ISH specially designed for severe conditions often experienced in industrial applications in continuous operation with single burner controls and is particularly adaptable with digital control systems (e.g. SPS). The robust housing construction also ensures the use of harsh environments. A simple diagnostic signal intensity of the flames made directly to the combustion equipments built over two LEDs.

The ISH 100 / 24 is a compact flame detector which was developed for single flame combustions, which produce in the visible light spectrum almost no radiation or with very low flame modulation work. The robust housing of the ISH 100 / 24 also allows the use of industrial applications.

The assigned UV-cell ensures that the flame detector doesn’t react to background radiation from hot refractory or glowing mixing devices.

About the frequency of blinking LED as a visual indicator is the frequency of the pulse as a function of the dual flame intensity easy to recognize. It is a simple diagnosis directly of the burner. This facilitates adjustment of the ISH 100 / 24 into the flame line. A second LED indicates status of the output signal of the flame controller.

The plug connection and flange offer easy mounting and adjustment of the ISH 100 / 24. The UV-cell is mounted for easy service and exchanged
